Bruin is delighted to be partnering with a respected Lloyd’s Syndicate in the search for a Compliance Analyst to join their growing Compliance Function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in regulatory compliance and governance to join a dynamic and collaborative team supporting both UK and international operations.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Compliance Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring the business adheres to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. You will support a broad range of compliance activities across regulatory reporting, policy development, risk oversight, due diligence, monitoring, training, and governance.
This is a hands-on, varied position offering excellent exposure to the workings of a Lloyd’s Managing Agency.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the regulatory reporting cycle, including tracking, scheduling, and assisting with submission of returns

Assist in drafting and embedding policies, controls, and frameworks aligned with FCA and Lloyd’s requirements

Conduct and review sanctions screening and due diligence across clients and third parties

Monitor marine cargo sanctions and support vessel tracking and embargo risk assessments

Assist with preparation of governance reports, whistleblowing summaries, and combined assurance updates

Maintain and enhance the firm’s Consumer Duty and Conduct Risk frameworks

Carry out horizon scanning of regulatory developments, escalating key items and assigning actions

Support the review of complaints, identifying themes and signs of customer vulnerability

Undertake KYC and third-party risk assessments across suppliers and brokers

Assist with Terms of Business Agreements (TOBAs) and Lloyd’s attestation processes

Support compliance training, monitoring, induction, and awareness campaigns
-
Deliver compliance monitoring activities, supporting underwriter adherence and escalating where needed

Represent Compliance at relevant committee meetings and act as Deputy Committee Secretary when required

Mentor and support the development of junior compliance team members
About You:

Experience in a compliance, governance, or regulatory support role within insurance (Lloyd’s/London Market preferred)

Strong understanding of FCA regulations and an interest in Lloyd’s regulatory frameworks

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities

Confident communicator and team player, comfortable working cross-functionally
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Planner, and comfortable working with internal systems
-
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
-
Willingness to develop professionally, including pursuing relevant qualifications (e.g. ICA or CII)
