Payroll Specialist (14-Month FTC)
Location: London (with international scope)
Our client, a global organisation with operations across 15+ international offices, is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their HR team on a 14-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a truly international environment, ensuring payroll excellence across multiple jurisdictions.
The Role
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and administering payroll activities across multiple countries, working closely with outsourced payroll providers, HR colleagues, and Finance teams. The successful candidate will manage the payroll cycle for multiple international offices, ensure compliance with local legislation, and provide high-quality reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate monthly payroll changes with external providers, ensuring deadlines and authorisations are met.
- Review and validate payroll reports, addressing any discrepancies.
- Manage the payroll calendar across international locations and keep HR teams updated.
- Stay abreast of payroll and tax legislation in relevant jurisdictions.
- Lead investigations into payroll discrepancies with providers.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a payroll compliance perspective.
- Liaise with Finance for payroll-related fund transfers and statutory payments.
- Provide payroll reporting and management information for HR and Finance.
- Support audits, year-end tax reporting, and compensation processes.
- Monitor and validate invoices from payroll providers.
