An elite global investment firm is seeking a talented AVP to join their Portfolio Management Oversight team, based in Luxembourg. This is a high-impact role in a dynamic environment, suited to an experienced professional looking to step into a senior position with visibility across the business.
The firm manages a diverse suite of fund structures (including UCITS, AIFs, and SMAs) across private markets and liquid strategies. You will be joining a growing team known for setting the bar when it comes to regulatory oversight and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities of the AVP Portfolio Management Oversight:
- Lead initial and ongoing due diligence reviews of portfolio management delegates, using a risk-based approach
- Monitor and report on delegate performance, escalating findings and presenting to senior committees
- Act as a key point of contact between the Luxembourg entity and stakeholders across Europe and the US
- Support new fund onboarding and maintain oversight of IT outsourcing arrangements
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and vendor risk teams to ensure full regulatory alignment
- Contribute to the development of lean, efficient, and compliant internal processes
- Support internal/external audit readiness and coach junior team members
Portfolio Management Oversight – candidate criteria:
- 5+ years’ experience in a UCITS ManCo, AIFM, Big 4 consultancy within a portfolio management oversight function
- Strong knowledge of EU and local Luxembourg regulations (CSSF Circulars, AIFMD/UCITS)
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field
