.Our client is an award-winning global investment management house. Due to expansion in the DACH region, they are now seeking an experienced and driven senior sales professional to take on a Head of Institutional Sales role. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the institutional sales activities in the DACH region and play a key role in the growth of the business.
The Head of Institutional Sales (DACH) will be responsible for developing and executing a regional sales and business plan to increase net new revenues and assets under management, while also representing the company at industry events and building strong relationships with institutional clients.
Purpose of the role:
The Head of Institutional Sales (DACH) will lead and drive the institutional business in the region, collaborating closely with teams across Europe. This is a strategic position aimed at achieving ambitious growth objectives and delivering a comprehensive sales plan.
The Head of Institutional Sales (DACH) will take responsibility for the following:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business plan for the DACH region.
- Drive the growth of net new revenues and assets under management.
- Lead client and prospect pitches, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in local PR and marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with European teams and corporate headquarters to align business strategies.
- Manage client relationships and ensure regular engagement through meetings and communications.
- Keep Salesforce records up to date, maintaining accurate client meeting and opportunity pipeline records.
The successful Head of Institutional Sales will meet the following criteria:
- Experience in private and public markets.
- Deep understanding of investor challenges and needs across institutional client segments (for example, pensions, insurance).
- A strong network of relationships among institutional clients.
- Fluent in both English and German.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth within an investment management house.
- Strong communicator, with proven ability to lead client interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
