Mobile App Developer (iOS, Android, Windows) – niche scientific product – Central Edinburgh
You’ll be working to create niche scientific mobile/tablet apps which are used by field professionals – the apps work across iOS, Android and Windows devices and so, ideally, you will have had experience across platforms. The products also interact with their desktop-based systems which are built with C++, OpenGL and Qt – massive bonus points if you’ve also touched on these technologies!
They’re a quality-focused team of circa 20 Software Engineers, split across the Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. They are working with modern technologies to build software for a niche, scientific field – they work with Agile methodologies.
They are flexible on salary and able to be competitive – there are also good benefits on top. They are based in a central yet quiet area of Edinburgh (well connected by buses and walkable from Waverley Station).
Your skills and experience should include some of the following:
*Ideally, an Honours Degree in Computing Science, Mathematics, Geology, Geophysics or Engineering.
*iOS or Android development.
*C or C++ programming and Boost would be beneficial.
*GUI development with Apple or Android native tools, Qt Quick, or Qt, or QML.
*3D graphics experience (OpenGL, WebGL, Q3D, OpenSceneGraph).
*Previous experience deploying paid apps to AppStore, Google Play, Windows Store.
