Do you want to work for a local housing association that has been providing support to women and their children for over 30 years? This organisation provides a range of domestic abuse support services to women and children. These include safe houses, children’s services, dedicated Black and Ethnic Minority Services, resettlement and outreach services, a crisis response service, and a confidential help line run in partnership with Womankind.
We are recruiting on behalf of them for a BME Worker to do full time hours until March 2019. The role will provide floating support to women to support them to sustain their existing accommodation or to re settle into new accommodation as well as floating support to women living in flats in management to support them to develop independent living skills and to move on into longer term accommodation.
If you have a passion for supporting vulnerable people and have experience of working within supported housing then we want to hear from you!
You will need experience in support planning, sign ups and welfare benefit forms.
The role would suit a candidate who is able to confidently manage a caseload of clients, deal with difficult situations and can lone work.
Access to a car, be able to participate in the organisations’ on call rota and an enhanced DBS are essential requirements for the role.
