Bruin are working exclusively with a global and top-tier investment manager to hire an Associate for their Private Credit Investment Team, based in London.

Our client has developed an excellent reputation having built an impressive and international portfolio of investments across a variety of asset classes. The Private Credit Team have built a market leading reputation, investing through a number of products and supporting private equity sponsors across a multitude of sectors in Europe.

As the business continues to perform exceptionally well, there is a need to hire a top-tier M&A or structured finance Associate to play a key role in the execution of their deals in Europe. 

The Associate will:

  • Work closely with the senior members of the business to originate and execute private credit investments across Europe and all sectors.
  • Regularly liaise with financial sponsors, investment funds and industry professionals to generate and analyse investment leads for the team.
  • Take responsibility for building financial models and conducting due diligence.
  • Support with the structuring and underwriting of investments as well as negotiations and documentation.
  • Prepare investment memos and support in presenting to the Investment Committee.
  • Regularly monitor the portfolio, conducting analysis and preparing reports for senior management.

Interested candidates must:

  • Be currently sitting in either a Senior Analyst or Associate level position in either the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Structured / Leveraged or Acquisition Finance Team of a top-tier bank.
  • Possess an excellent and all round skillset with the ability to build financial models from scratch.
  • Have a good deal track record, having either worked on buy / sell side or debt transactions.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and whilst not required, a second European language is preferred, such as Spanish, German or Nordic languages.
  • Hold a finance, mathematics, business or related degree from a highly regarded university.
  • Be motivated to join a high performing Investment Team where you will build an excellent deal track record.
