We are supporting our client, a Global Bank with offices all over the UK, on a temporary 12-Month Maternity Cover assignment as their HR Generalist. Situated within their Chester offices, you will be supporting on the full gamut of HR Generalist work alongside the HR Manager for Chester, working on cross-HR and cross-departmental initiatives in order to bolster the growth of the firm.

 

This is a very process-heavy role in a large office, and as such you will be required to prioritise effectively daily: managing relationships effectively along with ensuring due process in the various procedures you handle across the business. You will be filling big boots – the incumbent Generalist is on mat leave, and you will be expected to take on their range of work and deliver to the same level of aplomb. There is also an ongoing internship programme that the firm will particularly need assistance on, alongside other ad-hoc opportunities.

 

Some of your day-to-days will include:

 

  • Supporting in evolving new HR initiatives, partnering with the centres of excellence to do so
  • Participating in a variety of HR projects in tandem with the HRBPs
  • Serving as a changemaker and point-of-contact for employees seeking further information on developments within the business’s HR processes
  • Supporting on maintaining accurate records on HRIS for work training, placement programmes; ensuring adherence to local regulations
  • Creating reports for the business, including supporting on HRIS dashboards as needed

 

The right person for this role will have prior experience in an HR space and ideally come from the Financial or Professional Services, with the ability to effectively prioritise on what will be a high-volume HR function. Being able to spot new ways to improve upon existing businesses whilst still maintaining excellent time management skills to deliver on existing projects will be what sets apart the right candidate from other applicants, so highlighting an ability to work under pressure to achieve and overdeliver will be of great use in an interview process.
