A job in Talent, Learning & Development means being someone who understands how to negotiate the growth and skills of the various employees within their organisation, and retaining high talent individuals and being an expert on current market trends. But even more importantly, one works within the Talent & Development function of a business because of a passion for building relationships with the goal to ensure the best talent is fostered within the organisation, establishing and changing various initiatives with a focus on ensuring these and other individuals can achieve their best for the business. This role will provide you that opportunity to flex your knowledge in all things Talent, Learning & Development with our client, a massive Asset Manager with offices in London.

In this position, you will be responsible for a blend of processes and projects within the role, with your focus being roughly 50/50 split between the two. On the processes side, you will identify the best vendors to provide learning services for the business, as well as co-ordinating on improving various Learning-related facets of the firm's HRIS and intranet. On the Projects side, you will get an exciting opportunity to develop and grow the firm's Learning programme, determining what improvements must be made to provide the best possible experience for employees business-wide; that can be across things such as proper compliance training, professional qualification programmes, and aligning the business's L&D curriculum for the business with employee's ever-evolving needs.

Some key points of your role include:

  • Developing the business's Learning & Development curriculum through proper engagement with existing insights, feedback from managers and employees, and so on
  • Identifying new learning partners for the business, managing the lifecycle for these relationships from negotiating and onboarding them through to managing their ongoing work
  • Working on Employee Engagement to ensure that the various processes involved in Talent, Learning & Development are all working in lock-step
  • Educating Hiring Managers and other decision makers on the importance of proper learning within the business,
  • Supporting on the team’s D&I Strategy by identifying how to align with the overall business strategy
