We are supporting our client in a search for a Front End Engineer to join them in their fantastic Shoreditch offices. A higher education Technology Specialist with  healthy work-life balance and hybrid working at the heart of their offerings, you will be part of a rapidly growing business, organising people throughout the firm to ensure the organisation is running smoothly at all times.


With a standard for creating clean code and a high degree of confidence across HTML5, Javascript and CSS3, your role in this firm will be to keep a high standard for user experience, supporting the UI and UX staff in order to make sure students engaging with the business are able to have a truly immersive and consistent experience with the brand.  Working with both local and overseas teams, you will be leading the front-end development across all projects; yet you will also be leading on your own independent projects as well as supporting the wider development team to create group achievements.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:


  • Handling front-end development with all projects
  • Working with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript (any experience with frameworks such as Angular or React will be advantageous)
  • Aligning the product to the firm’s brand, whilst feeling confident in discussing new ways and ideas to evolve the product


The right person for this role will have some prior experience as a frontend developer, with clean coding practices and the ability to work across a variety of standards. Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript is essential as these will be required web coding languages for the firm. The right person will also be a key team player, able to work to their own deadlines yet return to larger key projects as and when  They will be able an excellent orator, able to speak to colleagues at all levels of seniority with a high degree of professionalism, and able to discuss their ongoing work and summarise it to those less knowledgable with regards to front-end development.
