Employee Benefits Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Employee Benefits Assistant to join a leading financial advisory specialist based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company at its growth stage and really grow and develop within the role.

As an Employee Benefits Assistant you will provide quality and efficient support in the administrative, technical and client support areas. To assist the Employee Benefits Senior Manager in managing the relationships with, and the services delivered to, the clients.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide general administrative and technical support to Senior Manager, Manager and Account Executive in the Employee Benefits team
  • Obtain quotes and associated information from providers, check the terms and conditions, collate and prepare accurate summaries of the data.
  • Maintain relationships with product providers and understand their basic propositions
  • Ensure accuracy and timely update of client information on all relevant systems, and provide reporting as required
  • Arrange meetings with existing or new clients as needed for the Senior Manager
  • Take an interest in the affairs of, and get to know the clients, to be aware of work currently in progress and act as a first point of contact for EB clients
  • Speak with clients on the telephone and develop rapport, also communicate professionally with them by email; act as a ‘trouble-shooter’ in sorting out client related problems
  • Undertake research and prepare drafts of technical reports in the style required by the author or as required to meet the Firm’s standards

 

The key skills required for the role are as follows:

  • Experience of working in an IFA firm and in dealing with private clients
  • Studying towards Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Good knowledge of MS office applications and IFA systems
  • Ability to provide quotes/other paperwork, fund ratings/research, draft client letters, process client business, liaise with clients and product providers as requires.
  • Experience of XPlan preferred
