Location- candidates can be home-based anywhere within the UK, although travel to clients sites is expected

Client
Our retained client is a long established player who, serve and supply the water, waste- water, chemical, utilities and food industries. Operating from their headquarters situated near Leeds they supply both ‘off the shelve’ and bespoke mechanical systems to water authorities, principal contractors and FTSE + sme’s.

As a result of continuous product development and a lot of new business won they now feel ready to make a vital addition to the team to facilitate their growth who can target similar clients elsewhere in the UK.

Role
The successful candidate will be specifically tasked with establishing links and securing work predominantly to the water industry and associated areas. You will draw on your extensive knowledge of the water industry and network of contacts to set up meetings and opportunities whereby you can present and bid for framework agreements.

The first stage of this will typically involve ringing up clients and generating strong enquiries and gaining an insight into their plans going forward. After this you will plan and organise your diary and time allowing you to visit and meet clients whom you have spoken with. You will consult clients on what services my client offers and exactly how you would plan to fulfil their needs.

You would continue through this process and begin preparing full in-depth proposals on what you intended to do; how you intended to do it and what the price and time scales would likely be. After this stage you would negotiate deals and contracts with clients reaching resolutions which then allowed you to progress on with the work.

Due to the nature of the work it is likely you will spend quite a lot of time travelling and visiting clients in order to win the work and contracts.

Person
You must have the following:

* Significant sales experience in the water industry
* Proven business development skills
* Hunger and drive to work autonomously and deliver results
* Strong account management skills
* An acute commercial aptitude and the ability to close off deals
