Resource Manager, Swindon or Newport.
My client is seeking an experienced Resource Manager to join a rapidly expanding team within their Swindon or Newport office. Offering a salary of up to £45K with an excellent benefits package, the successful Resource Manager will be reporting to the Business Operations Director; UK and Ireland.
The Resource Manager will be responsible for creating a consolidated services wide staffing plan for all current and proposed projects and subsequently ensuring the availability of staff to meet this plan. Part of your role will be to ensure the right people, with the right skills, at the right time, are available to execute the projects. During projects execution the successful candidate will monitor the staffing requirements and adjust the demand plan if needed and Interface with the business development community to enable demand planning and supplier management of key resource suppliers.
The Resource Managers key responsibilities will be:
•To support the Services Head and management team to execute resource management through the timely and cost effective use of resources.
•Establishes strong relationships with internal and external resource stakeholders.
•Consolidates requirements for service suppliers and manages relationship.
•Co-ordinates job descriptions and provides first filter for contracting candidates.
•Oversees day-to-day and future planning requirements to ensure resources meet demand.
•To act as the single point of contact for resource management.
•Keep the relevant stakeholders informed regularly regarding potential issues, opportunities and recommended actions.
•Maintain the resource allocation plan for current and proposed work.
•Identify additional resources as and when required, working with the hiring managers to ensure availability in a timely manner so as not to adversely impact projects.
•Via the use of the resource application tools, identify and obtain resources to fill any resource shortfalls locally and internationally.
•Ensure employee training certification records are up to date, identify training and skills gap.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the value resource management can bring to the business, have excellent networking and relationship building expertise with suppliers and managers and be results driven. Experience of project management and project execution is essential to this role as is good presentation skills.
This role is commutable from the M4 corridor, Swindon, Newport, Wales, Bristol, Bath, Frome, Newbury and Chippenham.
