The Role of Transition Manager (Project Manager / Change Manager)
Mixed role of Project Manager and Change Manager to assess the operational impact to network operations resulting from the implementation of programme change and BAU maintenance release.
Your experience for the role of Transition Manager (Project Manager / Change Manager):-
Ideally you’ll be both ITIL and Prince2 / PMI qualified and have a solid understanding of telecoms networks.
Responsible for the successful delivery and operational acceptance of new functionality and releases into the operations centre. More specifically these responsibilities will cover:
•Transition planning as part of the commercial change management process (PMO).
•Service Validation in conjunction with the Technical Design Authority.
•Liaison with the internal Change Management Team
•Preparing a project schedule that covers the deliverables required for each of the specialist operational work streams to achieve operational acceptance which will cover;
oNetwork & IT and connectivity
oProject Lifecycle
oRisk Management
oDelivery and Operations Solutions Acceptance
oTest Tools
oOperational Readiness tests and execution
oDocumentation and Knowledge Transfer
•Close liaison with the Technical, IS and Operational Streams to assess the operational impact of technical releases to the business
•Implementation activities through testing and reporting of the technical releases to support the operational process.
•Operational defect analysis and development of remedial activities to support the Business Processes
•responsible for a small team of direct reports
•Matrix management of operational staff to ensure successful delivery and acceptance of change
•Operational Close Out.
•Continuous Improvement
•Participate in Operations Management Team meetings
Deliverables
•Delivery of Programmed Change Requests and Operational Impact Assessments
•Preparation of the Project Implementation Plans and Solution Acceptance criteria
•Delivery management and operational acceptance of OSS, network technologies and business processes resulting from the implementation of Programme and BAU Change
•Operational Readiness test plans and exit report
•Weekly project reports, Risk & Issues Log and RAG status reports
