A successful, high profile company in the Satellite Communications sector are looking for a Engineer / Technician with Satellite Communications experience to be based from their offices in Essex.
Please note: This role would not suit someone who is installing domestic satellite dishes.
The ideal candidate with have a Communications focused degree and 1 - 5 years commercial experience in a relevant field. Your role will be to support the company across the breadth of its operations. This opportunity would suit a candidate looking for a position within a small, dynamic company, and offering excellent opportunity for progression to more senior levels
The candidate will preferably be educated to HNC/HND/degree level in a relevant engineering subject, and showing a sound knowledge of Satellite Communications theory, and preferably with competence/experience in the field of Satellite Communications. The applicant should be familiar with the operation and use of a range of applicable communications test equipment, and be able to demonstrate knowledge of typical satellite communications equipment.
The main job function is to provide assistance to the Senior Engineers in the design of Satellite Communications systems, and to assist/take responsibility for the on-site test and commissioning of systems. The role will involve frequent travel throughout the world. Typically, the successful candidate can expect to work on-site 4 to 5 times a year, for periods ranging from a few days to several weeks.
This role would suit someone who is or has recently been a Graduate Engineer, Satellite Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer, DataComs who is living in or prepared to relocate to Chelmsford, Essex.
