Data Centre Manager (CERM) to £50,000 Newbury
CERM (Critical Environment Risk Management) Manager to work for a leading FM organisation on their client site(s) in Newbury (Vodafone) to manage their data centres with previous experience gained from a similar environment.
To be successful you will have managed large data centres with an understanding of the maintenance requirements for mission critical applications having implemented CBM & RCM techniques. Manage risk assessments and FMEA’s and report on uptime and capacity of infrastructure. Assess & reduce business risks posted to Vodafone and our clients operations from buildings, infrastructure, utilities, services & FM operation. Deliver training; work with AE’s, AP’s and CP’s on electrical safety. Maintain a risk register & implement best practice maintenance, manage sub-contractors BCP and QA/QC methods on a risk basis.
You will interface with operations, HSQE, Energy & controls & HR management together with engineers & technicians.
Core competencies required are the ability to develop strategy for better working practises, critical engineering within data centres, MS Office skills, conversant with relevant legislation & compliance, people management skills, familiar with 5S, RCA, FMEA, Yokoten (lean manufacturing) & proficient with data analysis. HNC/HND in a mechanical, electrical or building services discipline.
