A Category Buyer require for a 6 month contract down in Dorset. The buyer will employed on a fixed term contract basis where you employed directly by the client.

Working for a market leading provider of equipment and high accuracy imaging equipment. Being the only site in the UK working along side a strong presence throughout Europe, they design and manufacture the special purpose machinery for a variety of applications.

The Category Buyer will have 3 years front line buying experience sourcing, negotiating, inventory management and working on commercial projects. If someone has experience of working in the special purpose machinery industry this would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for providing procurement and supply chain management support to the Global business. Developing supplier base, risk assessments, negotiating, identifying cost reductions throughout the supply chain. Liaising with engineers ensuring materials are suitable and carrying out auditing activities.
