Director Account Management – Clinical Research Organisation

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Director level Account Manager within a leading CRO’s consulting services division. This company has been established for over 25 years and has developed an excellent reputation with it’s clients for helping develop some of the most innovative drugs and devices. The company has offices in over 50 countries and offers an excellent working environment to it’s employees.

This role will require you to serve as overall relationship manager and strategic business partner for key accounts. You will be responsible for developing and expanding new business opportunities within established accounts and prospective clients. You will oversee the sales process and coordinate with Practice Leaders and subject matter experts to ensure client satisfaction. Some of your key duties will include;

•Prospecting for new clients and leveraging new business opportunities
•Cultivating strong long term client relationships with key decision makers
•Analysing potential opportunities and developing detailed business plans for client accounts
•Ensuring appropriate strategy and solution is proposed to clients
•Preparing and leading sales presentations

Suitable candidates will need to have extensive sales experience within the clinical research or pharmaceutical sectors. You should also have experience of selling consultancy services. Experience of selling regulatory services would also be a distinct advantage. You should also have a degree within a scientific or technical discipline and have a proven track record in managing key accounts.
