Applications Manager UK – Scientific – Southampton – Applications Manager

This organisation has been established for nearly 8 years and is a specialist in developing and manufacturing fiber laser products. Due to creating a laboratory department within the UK they have an exciting opportunity available for an Applications Manager to work at the Hedge End site in Southampton.

As the Applications Manager you will be responsible for managing a number of projects within the labs. Working alongside the laser applications engineering you will ensure customer problems are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Other duties within this role will include:
-Working with the product managers to define the projects each quarter that the lab commits to undertake
-Liaising with account managers to explain the weeks activity in the lab and ensure full alignment with sales activities
-Producing materials and samples for press articles

The successful candidate will have previously worked as a Materials Scientist, experience of working in laser processing is also required for this role. Experience of working with optics and different types of lasers is highly desirable but not essential for this role.
