My client is a leading provider of industrial computers and communication appliances around the world.
They are currently looking for a technical sales engineer to cover the south.
You must have sales experience in the industrial computer market.
The Role:
They are looking to recruit an experienced sales engineer who can bring skills and experience to their UK sales team. The role is focused on achieving sales growth through a proactive approach to identify new opportunities and profitable sales channels. The sales engineer is expected to meet agreed order targets, meet agreed new business targets and visit the office at least once per month. The technical sales engineer should reside in the South of England preferably below the M4 corridor.
Responsibilities:
The technical sales engineer will be responsible for the introduction of company products to new accounts and the generation and qualification of new enquiries. The position requires responsibility for all aspects of the sales cycle. Regular reporting on market trends, pricing and the competition is required and it is expected that, whilst some of this work can be achieved by phone and email from a home office, regular visits to clients in the territory will be a necessity.
Educational Requirements:
A good understanding of industrial electronics is required along with good sales and customer facing skills. Commercial awareness is a necessity and the sales engineer is expected to show a strong capability of being able to work alone, organise time effectively and provide information in a concise manner. A formal qualification is not a requirement as good selling skills are preferred along with a technical understanding. Product training will be provided if necessary.
Experience:
Sales experience in the industrial computer market is ESSENTIAL!!
Experience of selling to systems integrators, large end users and distributors.
The ability to prepare and present presentations to customers at all levels.
The ability to demonstrate a successful history of growth in the B2B market based on sales of hardware and systems products.
Strong communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:
