My Client specialises in the design and manufacture of innovative measurement and processing systems for the power generation, petrochemical, turbo-machinery, and aviation markets.
They currently have a requirement for a Sales Manager based in their Rugby office.
You will be responsible for the delivery of budgeted / forecast annual sales and order intake targets. Managing the internal sales and customer service team as appropriate to ensure this outcome.
The role will involve:
•Identifying new business opportunities at existing / new sales accounts to achieve agreed sales growth targets. Preparing new business assessments (including where necessary DCF models) and other relevant analyses. Preparing and submitting bid / proposal documents. Following up to ensure successful bid outcome.
•Preparing business recommendations for annual and extended pricing agreements (including LTAs) to secure existing business on the most favourable terms.
•Obtaining data and preparing sales and order budgets and medium / long term forecasts.
•Developing strong long term customer relationships. This will involve planning and executing regular visit programmes to ensure that all customers receive an appropriate frequency of servicing visits. Obtaining data on which to base customer satisfaction measures.
•In conjunction with the Industrial Sales Manager and the Business Development Director leading customer contract negotiations. Ensuring that the terms of existing business agreements are adhered to by customers.
•Co-ordinating with NPI resources (particularly the Rugby engineering team) to accurately define the requirements for NPI projects. Gathering information on customer product and technology development plans, to assist in the alignment of the compan’s technology development plans.
•Managing the Rugby office’s participation in trade shows.
Gathering information about competitor activities.
You will have:
•A good working knowledge of the industrial gas turbine and relevant petrochemical / process technologies and markets. The technology aspects of this requirement will be best satisfied if the applicant holds a technical degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.
•Well developed sales account management skills, proven in an industrial key sales account management role for at least five years.
•Excellent communication skills, with a confident approach to business development at all levels up to Procurement Director level.
•Excellent communication skills, with a confident approach to customer and colleague relationship development.
•A team player, committed to supporting / covering for other team members.
•Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, maintain clear and accurate records and provide concise management reports.
