ACCOUNT MANAGER/ SALES EXECUTIVE - RAIL

THE COMPANY
This business is well established as the UK’s leading manufacturer of electro-mechanical components and systems for the rail industry. Since being acquired by a global organisation 10 years ago the company has gone through a rapid growth period which has seen head count triple and turnover grow to 200m. Having recently won a high profile contract with one of the UK’s main train operators, the business now needs an account manager/ sales executive to help develop the account
THE ROLE
You role as account manager/ sales executive will be to support the Business Unit Manager in the development of this account. You will be responsible for 5 sites and will need to spend time building relationships with maintenance engineers and service and fleet managers. The key to success in the role will be getting to know them, understanding their role and needs and how your products can improve their day to day performance.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal account manager/sales executive will need;
• 2-3 years experience in account management
• Excellent relationship building skills with engineers
• Knowledge of the rail sector would be an advantage, but desire to be successful is always more important.
• To relish the challenge of a steep learning curve.
