Role Description
My client is looking for a Signalling and Telecoms Team Leader to lead and develop a team of Signalling design engineers. This is not a technical role as you will have a principle design engineer working along side you providing the design checking and sign off.
Unlike other positions with in the signalling industry this role combines your technical understanding with strong leadership skills. You will be managing the projects through working to tight deadlines using KPI’s and updates with both internal and client meetings on project updates. As a Signalling Team Leader you will be the face of the team, being involved with management meetings with the other department heads [OHL, P-Way, M&E, Civil’s] and reporting on your section of works.
You must have come from a technical background as you will be supervising a team of design engineers. This can be either from a site based position [IRSE project engineer] or Design based [IRSE Design engineer]. The IRSE element is key to prove your signalling knowledge when it comes to overseeing the teams work.
Motivation is also a key element as this position is a stepping stone in to Engineering management and beyond. This role needs some one confident, driven, with ambition to succeed and wants to continue to progress in their career.
Required Experience
You need to have evidence of your signalling knowledge ideally an IRSE Licence as well as a background of managing design teams. This can be either directly as a Design manager or as a project manager looking after the designers as well as delivery teams.
Also a qualification is required to be it HNC, HND or Degree to support you work history.
PLEASE NOTE
You must hold a British Passport or hold a working visa to apply for this position.
