Senior / Section Site Engineers - Contract - South Yorkshire

Working on Rail projects across the South Yorkshire region.

Rate: £20 - £22 per hour
Length: up to 1 year

Role Description:
Experienced Rail Site / Section Engineers are required to work on Station upgrade projects. You will need to have Rail experience with a PTS for this position. This role is working on station upgrade projects with your role over seeing the junior engineers and quality checking the work carried out. As it is station projects civil engineering is required but on build projects such as Lift shafts, stairs, platforms and new build waiting rooms.

Your responsibilities will vary on a daily basis depending on your experience and level of your abilities but they could include:

- Checking/setting out/undertaking quality control of early works on site
- Carrying out quality control of new road ways and drainage
- Reporting in to the Sub Agent giving updates
- Overseeing a group of Site Engineers
- Giving update meetings to Sub Contractors and Engineers
- Dealing with technical queries

Required Experience:
Experience with in the rail industry, ideally on station projects. You must have or had a PTS and be able to have a refresher course pior to starting on site. A civil engineering qualification is also required to support your experience. This can be either ONC, HNC, HND or degree.
