A leading manufacturing company currently requires a Project Engineer-
Be the owner of Quality activity within NPI projects
” Develop the Quality strategy’s for NPI’s
” Implement NPI’s from Project feasibility to Pre-production
” Own development of all quality control documents for NPI’ projects, control plans etc
” Be the ‘voice of the customer’ in NPI projects
” Own the approval matrix for NPI’s
Quality
Champion resolution of OOB/CRM issues outside of the product streams.
” Report progress of Discontinuous quality improvements to stakeholders (Liaison meeting etc).
” Be the owner of Quality driven projects outside of the established products streams, and remit of the continuous improvement engineers e.g OUK sourcing
” Identify and lead improvement projects based on feedback information.
” Use predictive techniques to identify improvement projects
” Identify and Implement evolutionary/ revolutionary processes/standards that may provide business improvement
” Identify resource required for projects identified.
” Ensure compliance of quality activity as required by the NPI implementation process.
” Complete ISO 9001 Internal Audits

Knowledge and skills required:-
Working knowledge & experience of APQP/PPAP
” Problem solving tools and techniques, e.g. 8D methodology, 5Y etc.
” Proven presentation skills
” Lean manufacturing techniques
” Knowledge of ISO9001, preferably a qualified Auditor.

Experience Required:-
Proven ability in a modern manufacturing environment is essential
” Identification and implementation of mistake proofing methods
” Compilation of process documentation such as Control plans/ FMEA.
” Fabrication, powder painting, machining or electro-mechanical assembly processes
” Proven ability in a production or quality engineering related role
” Project based engineering
” Proven ability in the use of Minitab.
” Development and introduction of approval standards.
” Proven ability in performing capability studies and statistical process control
” Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
