A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join a customer-focused, innovative solutions-driven company which makes hot-rolled, cold-rolled and metallic-coated strip steels and provides solutions in product design, processing technologies and management of the supply chain.
As Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will plan, control, record and continuously improve all preventative and remedial maintenance in the Raw Materials ensuring maximum plant availability and efficiency, whilst incorporating safe working practice and minimum cost through the coordination of planning and systems based engineering activities.
In particular, you will be responsible for developing required engineering support systems including planning models for maintenance activity, budget control system, contract management, procedures/system, spaces procurement and failure analysis systems.
You will work with the Manufacturing Areas and others to implement the systems and therefore contribute to delivering the Annual Plan.
You will also manage directly the planning, pcm, spares and statutory activities.
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in mechanical engineering or holding a membership of an appropriate institute, you will possess a NEBOSH certificate and have considerable Blast Furnace process and operational knowledge and experience.
