Application Support Analyst - London - £30-35k + Benefits

My client is a highly successful Online Gambling company providing Software and Products throughout the industry. They require an Application Support Analyst to join their team in London.

You will have a passion for problem solving, capable of understanding the issues raised by our e-commerce sports betting and gaming clients. You must be willing to go that extra mile to resolve issues and support applications.

Responsibilities:
"Owning and investigating a wide variety of issues at both an application and database level.
"Producing robust, well-written solutions for issues.
"Deployment of fixes to both test and live environments.
"Effectively communicating investigation status.
"Escalating issues appropriately to ensure quick resolution.
"Liaising with the development and problem management teams were appropriate to resolve issues.

Proven ability
"Proven ability in an application support/incident management role.
"Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
"Strong fundamental programming skills such as data structures or algorithms.
"Demonstrable talent programming in at least one major language i.e. Java, J2EE, Ruby, PHP, C, C# or C++.
"An ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Desirable:
"Familiarity developing on Unix/Linux.
"Proven ability with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) website design.
"Knowledge of version control systems.
"Knowledge to Scripting in Perl, Python and/or JavaScript.
"Exposure to ITIL.
