My client is a leading communications infrastructure and media services company, operates at the heart of the broadcast, satellite and mobile communications markets They are currently looking for a Product Manager, specialising in the Data Centre space to take responsibility and ownership for the management of the Data Centre products and associated Product P&Ls.

Accountable for the performance of the product, acting as the product champion To manage, identify, develop and deliver these Products, thereby helping achieve target sales and profit in the markets.
Analyse customer requirements and competitive situation to identify potential opportunities and the required product set for the Business Unit to enable it to maintain and grow existing revenues, develop new significant Data Centres revenue streams and where appropriate move up the Services value chain. Apply strong interpersonal skills to accurately interpret those customer requirements.
Prioritise and develop effective Product processes and frameworks to drive performance and quality, and gain agreement to implement from key stakeholders. Product Plans to include Market Size and Addressable Market, Potential volumes, Customers (channels to market) and Segmentation, Competitive Analysis, Investment Requirements, Implementation Plan, Financial Analysis etc.
Own, develop and communicate an appropriate Business Plan, Product Plan and strategy for the Business Unit to compete successfully for Data Centre business in the relevant markets. Develop the objectives for the product set, including budgets and financial targets. Obtain agreement from management and key stakeholders to implement the plan.
Where appropriate and in support of achieving sales targets, consider and build effective partnering relationships with third parties.
Proactively drive an appropriate strategy for the product to maximise value in each phase of its life cycle
Adherence to the company's product development process and strategic corporate guidelines (including return on capital employed) which all new products must be consistent with.
Drive the implementation of the Product Plans and the Product set through the appropriate Sales and Delivery Channels through clearly documented processes and procedures. Ensure the proactive resolution of design and delivery issues and blockers with GME groups and Business Operations.
Promote new / revised Data Centre related Products and associated opportunities through the same channels. Ensure that targets such as orders, financial performance and customer satisfaction are developed, monitored & achieved.
Provide the primary source of Data Centre product expertise and be able to articulate this in the context of developing new business. The role is primarily a technical PM role.
