The Company
Our client is a large construction firm with a focus on developing large scale commercial premises. The business has a strong reputation for providing quality products into various market segments and is set for long terms stability with a number of key long term contracts in place and new business consistently realised over a number of years.

The Opportunity
This role will involve managing and developing a team of around 6 direct reports with a wider team of nearly 30. Applicants should have experience working in a construction accounting environment as a finance manager looking to make a step up or as a controller who is looking for a bigger challenge and a larger team.

Responsibilities will include a mix of financial and commercial activities including
- Production of all financial and statutory accounts and ensuring reporting compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage the cash management process through strong reporting and analysis.
- Overseeing and improving systems, reporting and controls.
- Leading the management accounting process as well as providing insightful analysis.
- Working closely with the UK MD in a business partnering capacity and act as the finance lead at board level within the organisation.

The Person
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with significant post qualified experience. You should be highly motivated, commercially aware with drive and passion. You should also be a confident people manager and confident working as part of the senior management team.
