Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer

Location: Caspian – Azerbaijan
Position: Permanent
Salary: $12000 pm

Experience:
• 6-10 years experience in the Cathodic Protection activities
• Some experience onshore and offshore pipelines and facilities CP design and installation and maintenance activities.
• Electrical experience in high voltage transformers and DC TR inspection and maintenance.
• Some experience in the testing and maintenance methodology.
• Familiarity with data management and control.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent analytical, technical, judgemental skills. Attention to Detail.
• Planning and problem solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good knowledge of IT/PC.
• Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher diploma in Electrical Engineering field or time served apprenticeship in electrical field in particular in the oil and gas industry or equivalent.
• NACE Level 2 or higher certificate.
Role:
• To manage the Cathodic Protection (CP) Engineers and CP technical issues.
• Prepare monthly reports, for the Senior CP Engineer/Project Manager, for CP system status for pipelines and facilities (onshore/offshore).
• Manage and review field CP systems monitoring and surveys, review and analysis of field data and to provide technical support to the implementation of the Cathodic Protection Services as required.
• Responsible to comply with the applicable national and industrial design codes and standards, implementation of required procedures for permitting, construction, HSE and operational aspects, as well as local and regional statutory regulations.
