Manufacturing Tooling Engineer

Project Overview: An initial 4 month contract for a Manufacturing Engineer with Unigraphics Modelling and Detailing experience to focus on both in house and external manufacture of tooling for a leading global business providing integrated power systems.
The role includes manufacturing drawing creation, CAD model creation and multi-axis laser programming and suitable candidates will have a good level of UG modelling and detailing experience and will hold a ‘Certificate of Training’ for Unigraphics NX4.
You will be required to support various improvement programmes, including robust technical packages, process capability improvements, cost reduction activities and quality improvements.

Essential Skills/Experience: - Qualified to Degree level, or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline; - Wide range of manufacturing engineering knowledge; - Ability to understand Fabrications; - Trained in MRP2/3 techniques; - Proficient in the use of PLM Unigraphics NX4 with a high level of usage for modelling and detailing.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must hold a Unigraphics NX4 ‘Certificate of Training’. - Proficient in the use of CADDS 5 for component drawing and model creation; - In depth knowledge of NC Programming, in particular multi-axis lasers would be beneficial; - Knowledge in the use of SAP and PDM systems would also be beneficial.
