Role: Factory Manager/Fabrication Manager

Purpose of Role:
• The strategic management and day-to-day running of the Freight Systems departments and the Fabrications shop. A key member of the manufacturing team, you will continuously improve and develop your area and people in terms of cost, quality, delivery, health, safety, housekeeping and the environment. A major area of involvement / leadership will be in process efficiency, productivity projects and people management.
• Developing a ‘team culture’ within and across departments to ensure that company procedures, policies and business targets are continually strived for and enhanced.
• Ensuring a philosophy of information sharing, liaison and regular feedback exists with the Directors on any issues that require advice and clarification to ensure that performance is in line with business requirements.
Ideal Candidate
Essential: Strong people manager who will have operated in a similar role. Good knowledge of welding and fabrication. Good communicator. Resilient nature.
Preferable: Experience in the Manufacture of Commercial Vehicles and more particular the chassis side. A knowledge of wiring, hydraulics and pneumatics.
