Senior Linux Systems Administrator – Redhat / Centos / Puppet / Kickstart / Shell

A global commerce solutions firm are looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join their team in London.

The successful Senior Linux System Administrator should come from a hosting environment and will enjoy leadership in key projects and make key strategic decisions to help improve and advance the growing eCommerce platform.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead key projects, such as data centre architecture, capacity planning, upgrades and migrations.
• Work closely with the systems, service desk and eBusiness strategy teams to support customers by solving technical issues.
• Provide application and platform support, including configuration management and deploying new services into the platform
• Manage and support the production systems and networks to high levels of availability, performance and security.

Key Skills:
• Linux Redhat/Centos
• Puppet / kickstart / Cobbler automation
• Systems programming: Shell/Perl
• Apache/DNS software skills
• Virtualisation skills: Xen/VMware
• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, routers etc.
