Graduate Application Support / Incident Analyst - London - £25-30k + Benefits

My client is a highly successful Online Gaming company providing Software throughout the industry. They require an Application Support Analyst to join their team in London. They are offering a Salary of £25-30k + Benefits.

You will have a passion for problem solving, capable of understanding the issues raised by our e-commerce sports betting and gaming clients. You must be willing to go that extra mile to resolve issues and support applications.

Responsibilities:
" Owning and investigating a wide variety of issues at both an application and database level.
" Producing robust, well-written solutions for issues.
" Deployment of fixes to both test and live environments.
" Effectively communicating investigation status.
" Escalating issues appropriately to ensure quick resolution.
" Liaising with the development and problem management teams were appropriate to resolve issues.

Proven ability
" A bachelor's degree (1st or 2:1) in computer science, engineering or information systems.
" Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
" Strong fundamental programming skills such as data structures or algorithms.
" Demonstrable talent programming in at least one major language i.e. Java, J2EE, Ruby, PHP, C, C# or C++.
" An ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Desirable:
" Familiarity developing on Unix/Linux.
" Proven ability with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) website design.
" Proven ability of website development skills HTML, HTML5 and CSS aswell as Web technologies (XML, HTTP, TCP/IP).
" Knowledge of version control systems.
" Familiarity with designing/developing/supporting with at least one of the following databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Informix or Oracle.
" Knowledge to Scripting in Perl, Python and/or JavaScript.
