Oracle Database Administrator - Germany - €40-70k

My client is a leading provider of Online Gaming Software to the Global Market. They have created a broad portfolio of games that appeal to a wide audience globally. Due to growing demands of the business they are currently looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join their team in Hamburg, Germany.

You will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the database systems as well as helping maintain the constantly growing data structures. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation of the database and ensure that the database is optimised and tuned to meet demands.

Responsibilities:
" Responsible for the design, configuration and maintenance of the Oracle databases.
" Perform fault analysis and be responsible for troubleshooting issues.
" Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of live systems.
" Liaise with external providers and internal customers.
" Responsible for developing and maintaining the IT infrastructure.
" Work on new projects as part of a team.

Proven Ability:
" Proven ability in a 24/7 operation of e-commerce platforms.
" Proven ability in the design, installation and administration of Oracle databases.
" Extensive knowledge and proven ability Oracle 11g in a production environment.
" Performance analysis and tuning using Statspack or AWR.
" Proven ability of SQL, pl/SQL and Shell Scripting.
" Use and Implementation of Database Monitoring tools.
" Back up and recovery technologies e.g. RMAN, Dataguard.
" Commercial competency in the German Language and Good English skills.

A knowledge and passion for online gaming or high transactional environment is beneficial.
