Linux Application Engineer - Stockholm - Competitive Salary + Benefits

My client is a World leading provider of games for the web and mobile. Through their network of partners, they are able to reach more than 2 million players with games and entertainment products. Due to extensive growth, success and innovation within the company, this successful brand is seeking a Linux Applications Engineer to join the highly successful team in Stockholm.

This is a wide and varied role in which you will gain strong knowledge of all products and provide the bridge between the Service and development departments. You will be reporting to the chief operating officer. In your role as application expert, you will belong to the service department and work with large data ranges. You will also be responsible for analysing problems and providing solutions to develop support tools for monitoring and maintenance of gaming products.

Responsibilities:
" Responsible for developing new and fine tune existing configurations.
" Able to trouble shoot - expertise in third line support.
" Provide support to the architect team.
" Responsible for application deployments.
" Analyse and design in regards to capacity and availability planning.

Proven ability:
" Academic qualification in an IT field.
" Strong knowledge in areas such as Linux, MySQL, Java, JBoss and Apache.
" Proven ability managing production databases.
" Proven ability of developing effective complex SQL queries.
" Exposure to developing tools/scripts.

Preferably knowledge of the gaming industry, for example by working with products such as online poker or similar would be highly beneficial.
