Quantitative Analyst - London - Global Investment Company - c£50k + Benefits

Based in London my client is a global investment company who is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join their team. You will work in a positive and supportive environment with a real and substantial role to play from day one. You will be challenged and stimulated and given the opportunity to contribute to the development of creative and commercial solutions.

You will be in the company of people like you: people with intellect, talent, entrepreneurial spirit, drive and vision and receive a salary of up to £50,000 plus benefits.

You will be responsible for guiding the Quantitative Analysts in developing and enhancing models and trading applications.

Responsibilities:
" Provide support and work in conjunction with quantitative analysts and developers to develop, implement and enhance quantitative models and applications.
" Provide quantitative solutions for business decision-making.
" Analyse and assess the risk exposure to the business and it's products.
" Mentoring for junior quantitative analysts.

Proven ability:

" Batchelor degree in Computer Engineering or Mathematics or Statistics related subject.
" Exposure in video gaming, data mining, scientific research or trading highly beneficial.
" Proven ability to deal with sophisticated technical problems and/or handling large volumes of complex data.
" Strong awareness and knowledge of Java programming.
" Proven ability and expertise in multi-threaded, multi-tiered, heavy throughput systems.
" A understanding and proven record with database techniques.
" Knowledge of matlab or modelling and statistical packages beneficial.
