Key Skills – Java, J2EE, RDBMS ( Oracle, SQL, Sybase or Informix) + banking or financial services experience, P2P

Leading, expanding Consultancy is in need of an experienced architect with excellent consultancy skills. Your design skills will be J2EE based and you will have had extensive experience in package integration and bespoke builds mainly using J2EE. You will be working on development and architecture of Peer Portal for financial industry. This is a varied and challenging role which will utilise your hands-on skills in software design and development as well as your customer facing skills in consultancy and pre-sales.

You will have solid experience in presenting, designing and consulting as well as offering solutions to existing and prospective clients and the design and development of these solutions. Projects you had worked on will have included bespoke application development for content management, P2P portal and web applications, all on a large scale as well as the reporting documentation

Suitable applicants will have an in-depth knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies, development and best practice as well as application servers e.g. Websphere, Weblogic and JBoss. You will have strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle, Sybase or MS SQL database.

Other technologies of interest are: Websphere and experience of designing and developing SOA solutions would also be a plus.
