Our client is currently looking for a senior software developer to join their team responsible for I-Synd and IssueNet, our bond syndicate software products.

You will be working on a web based system that provides bond syndicate market services to first and second tier brokerage houses in the debt capital markets globally. You will be based in their London office and service the needs of their clients globally.

As a senior developer you will be a ‘hands-on’ team lead for small teams to enhance and extend their existing products. You will be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle for the work you are delegated. You will report to the UK Head of Product Development for Capital Markets.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience of ‘hands-on’ team leading
• Proven background in technology with experience in: Java/J2EE Technologies: hibernate, EJB, JSP/Servlets/Struts, JDBC, JSTL, JMS, JNDI, XML.
• Have used Jakarta Ant, XDoclet.
• Knowledge of JUnit and Cactus.
• Experience in a Linux development environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
• A strong interest in technology.
• Keen to come to environment where you can learn and develop your skills and advance the company.

The Person
You will have proven team leading ability and be part of a client facing team. As such you will have extensive exposure to their investment banking clients and represent the company in a professional manner, relishing the opportunity to service clients in an occasionally high-pressure environment. You’ll have a strong interest in technology, a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be keen to come into an environment in which you can learn and develop skills whilst advancing the company.
