At present, we are recruiting a Director of Product Management for a global Telecoms Products Company within their Intelligence Charging Business Unit. Shaping the business direction and product strategy, you will be responsible for defining product direction and ensuring new software releases meet market and customer needs as well as ensuring successful market introduction of a new mobile rating and charging solution. The role will also involve bringing renewed focus on the client’s leading edge product set and defining and ensuring adequate roadmaps are in place to ensure competitive edge and profitability. As well as leading the product management and undertaking market needs analysis, you will be a strong team manager who can manage and lead others, ensuring team direction supports the business unit objectives.

You will be required to work in a highly technical specialized business area and skills and experience in the following is required:

Significant product management experience in hardware, software or telecoms solutions company
Experience with Mobile telecoms and pre-paid or billing solutions
International product management / development experience
Business to Business Product Management
Real time charging systems experience is beneficial
Mobile operator experience is beneficial
Product management knowledge – good knowledge of product management and product marketing processes
Experience delivering new products or software releases to market in a complex environment and to meet deadlines

The role will involve the following:

Creating and delivering against a product roadmap
Providing Business Development and Pre-Sales support
Presenting Product Vision, direction and value to customers and analysts
Creating innovative customer solutions
Providing strong team leadership and leading the product management team
Providing and escalation point for the team and a contact point for engineering, sales, marketing and senior management for the product team
Taking overall product management responsibility as defined by the client’s objectives
Monitoring and analyzing marketing information, trends, competitor products and opportunities
Ensuring Product management processes are developed and followed
Developing promotional strategies in conjunction with Product marketing units
Drive and instigate improvements to the product portfolio to ensure profitability and market presence
