In particular, my client is looking for a C/C++ software engineer with a solid academic background in mathematics hoping to kick start their commercial career!

This position is ideal for someone with limited programming experience but wanting to move into a software development role within a commercial environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background (2:1 or above) in Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant discipline with experience in C and/or C++ programming. You must have proven ability to write robust, maintainable code in C or C++ on Linux or Unix platforms. The successful candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills with a passion for learning new technologies. You must have a strong mathematical background with good analytical and problem solving skills.
