Oxford based Scientific Software House is looking for a PhD level Computational Chemist / Software developer to work on the development of their state of the art drug discovery projects. Both through their own discovery programs and through research projects, my client is involved in the highest quality research within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

In this new role, you will have a fantastic opportunity to work alongside some of the most highly regarded computational chemist’s in the world. The successful candidate will be developing new cutting edge algorithm projects (C++/Java/Python) and leading the company’s in-house development of new computational approaches collaborating closely with medicinal chemistry and biology consortium members. You will help mentor other members of the team in developing their computational chemistry expertise

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will be educated to a Ph.D level in computational chemistry or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant postdoctoral. Experience in C++, Fortran with computational research experience at a drug design company is essential. Experience in some of the following areaswould be highly advantageous: structure based drug design, virtual ligand screening, computationally driven lead optimization, ligand-based design, cluster management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
