Salary - £18,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience

One of the premier IT Consultancies in the North East currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer to join the team. The company has been providing comprehensive IT solutions to organisations throughout the North East since 1981, and specialise in offering expertise in areas such as training, software and hardware support and cover.

Reporting to the Technical Service Manager your key responsibility will be working with customers to ensure they receive a thorough and professional service. You will be a skilled technician as you will be covering queries ranging from 1st through to 3rd line support.

This is a crucial role within the company. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a dynamic support role. Working Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Services is essential, as is experience with Window 2000 Server & Windows Server 2003. You will also have in-depth knowledge of Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003 & Exchange 2007. Microsoft and/or Cisco Certification e.g. MCSA, CCNA would be desirable, as would a working knowledge of SharePoint Services.

You will have a good telephone manner and be an analytical thinker as problem-solving will form the main bulk of your job. The role will also be customer-facing at times, so you will be presentable and comfortable in this environment.
