This leading eCommerce company is looking for a .NET Technical Architect to design scalable and high performance applications from functional requirement documents and ensure the business requirements have been met through their software design. You will be responsible for the design of the systems and writing technical specifications that can be passed to the development team for them to work from during an Agile development lifecycle.

Throughout the lifecycle you will need to converse technically with the development and database teams to ensure all questions are debated and answered. You must also be able to provide technical direction, assist with the development team with the adoption of new technologies and ensure that any standards set are adhered to and contribute towards the technical direction and strategies of the business set by the Enterprise Architect.

This is a Technical Architect role so you will be heavily involved in the technical design, architecture and documentation rather than Hands-On development. This role would not suit someone that wants to stay hands on all the time but you must have been in a Senior ASP.NET development / Team leader / Applications Architect position in the past.
