Based in London, the UK’s largest independent supplier of information solutions for children’s and adult services is currently looking to recruit a Reports Developer. Since its inception in 1991, the company has enjoyed continuous year-on-year organic growth, and their customers include over 87 local authorities as well as over 100 other social care providers.

This is an important role within the company. Reporting to the Senior Reports Developer, the Reports Developer is responsible for designing, developing and supporting reporting applications, using Actuate, PL/SQL, Business Objects and Oracle Reports, for use in Local Authority Social Care Departments within the UK. Your specific tasks in the role will include analysis and design, authoring code and unit testing in full and thin client environments, and producing technical and user documentation. You will liaise with Business Analysts, Project Managers and clients, and act as an internal expert for all aspects of report development.

The ideal candidate for the Reports Developer role must have commercial experience in report development and support. You will have excellent knowledge of SQL AND PL/SQL and experience working with Oracle RDBMS., as well as extensive decision support analysis and design skills. You must be skilled in commercial development using Actuate, while any experience using Visual Basic, Business Objects or Oracle Reports would also be useful. You will have excellent attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
