Oracle Bioinformatics ICT Officer North London
Keywords: Bioinformatics, IDBS, MDL, Tripos, PL/SQL. A fantastic opportunity has a risen within the drug discovery industry for an ICT Officer based in North London. The successful candidate will have an amazing chance to work alongside Europe’s leading scientists on the development of the most cutting edge solutions within biomedical research.

Joining a small team, you will be helping to maintain the company’s network service and providing day to day support for end users in both standard desktop and scientific applications.
To succeed in this role you will be able to understand and support scientists with commercial experience in Oracle 10g and Microsoft Active Directory or Microsoft Exchange 2003. In addition, experience with any of the following scientific software products would be highly advantageous: IDBS ActivityBase, MDL Discovery Framework, Tripos products or Accelrys products.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in bioinformatics or a scientist looking to branch into a slightly more technical role. The ideal candidate will be educated to at least a 2:1 degree level in a scientific/IT discipline. You must be articulate with good writing skills for giving presentations and maintaining documentation.
