As a Mainframe Systems Programmer you will undertake and be responsible for a number of tasks for both the day to day operational and future development of key client and internal systems. Typically your role will see you interface with clients to gain a full understanding of any incidents raised and subsequently provide solutions within agreed timescales. As a respected programmer your role will also be as an advocate of good working practice both from a technical and service aspect, you will be called on to utilise your experience and knowledge to further improve the team, technologies and systems available whilst also building strong internal relationships to improve communication and client experience.

Skills required:
Due to the highly technical nature of this position you will be required to have a thorough and diverse technical knowledge which includes:
* IBM Mainframe (hardware & software)
* CICS
* DB2
* VTAM
* Understanding of TCP/IP storage technologies & disk management solutions
