Based in Berkshire, the global leader in web filtering and a premier provider of web and desktop security software currently has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Consultant. The company is a true market leader in web security, messaging security and data loss prevention solutions. This is a particularly important role within the company. The Technical Support Consultant will act as the authority on all Proxy related issues for the Technical Support team. The department is particularly teamwork-oriented and you will be constantly challenged by diverse and stimulating technical issues. The company has a need to enhance the proxy knowledge throughout the team and the right candidate will have the opportunity to coach and mentor others and act as the subject matter expert for the EMEA region.

Performing a third line support role, you will also liaise closely with the product development teams regarding the product future, proposing changes, feeding back customer suggestions and collaborating on ironing out flaws and bugs.

The ideal candidate for this Technical Support Consultant role will have worked in a technical support function within the security domain. You must have in-depth knowledge of Proxy servers (Squid proxy experience is highly desirable), Linux (Redhat), Windows platform and various internet protocols (http, https, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.).
