IT Applications Manager
Job Purpose:
Position leads activities for requirement management, system design and specification, problem triage, documentation and software development for numerous applications concurrently. Highly knowledgeable on applications across all functional disciplines (ERP, Finance, HR, Purchasing, Engineering etc). Focus on application integration and complex problem resolution and application planning and development. Strong ability to manage software application projects by developing project plans, managing resources and timelines within budget.

Accountabilities:
Prepare business cases, analyse business information systems and related processes to design and integrate applications or systems.
Analyze technical requirements to formulate and develop new and modified information processing solutions.
Liaise between business functions and IT to ensure that requirements are implemented.
Evaluate, review, and audit existing and proposed application systems for technical effectiveness and satisfaction of functional requirements, policies, and procedures.
Manage scheduling, status collection and reporting of work on problem reports and change requests that make up software release packages.
Develop, adjust and track estimates of cost and schedules for projects.
Prepare administrative technical reports, and presentations on status of project budgets, schedules, and resources to internal customers, projects and management teams.
Conducts analysis and research of information requirements for departmental systems.
Provides guidance and training to end/super users in the use of applications, data files, and databases to retrieve and manipulate data effectively.
Can participate in all phases of the systems life cycle, using common software development processes.
Special Features
There will be a requirement to build and develop the IT applications landscape from a brown-field perspective to facilitate timely migration from Airbus IT Transition Service Arrangements post Day 1. There will also be a key role in supporting the new A350 programme from an IT systems perspective.
Essential:
BSc in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience
Good knowledge of IS/IT technologies, policy and strategy.
Leading successful completion of major computing application enhancements or implementations.
Is conversant with database standards, security, methods, and tools.
Desirable:
Post degree additional education
Project/programme management qualified
Good network of external IT professionals and key IT suppliers.
Good knowledge of BaaN (Infor ERP Ln) and SAP ERP systems.
Additional Technical certifications, course (e.g. Microsoft, Cognos, Programming).
Operational experience within an IT & Telecoms environment.
Good knowledge of manufacturing environments
