First class career opportunity for a software developer to join a team of high calibre engineers within this successful and expanding Engineering consultancy which specialises in the design and optimisation of oil and gas production facilities both in the UK and abroad.

Throughout the twenty years since its foundation, our client has been developing software to support their engineering role and their software product range includes Forms and Web applications, which are used by many of their customers as well as in-house.

Joining the software development team, your initial short-term role will be to assist in the re-design and porting of Legacy VB6 programs to C#.NET. There are also a number of new products and enhancements to existing products in the pipeline once the conversion is complete. The product range holds many challenges including a number of state-of-the-art graphical modelling tools to mimic real life Oil & Gas facilities.

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in IT or mechanical/chemical engineering, you will have proven software development experience, ideally using C#.NET and SQL Server 2005.

Mathematicians and scientists who have good software skills are also encouraged to apply.
